Belarusian parliament’s upper chamber to sit on 6 May

MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) - The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus of the eighth convocation is set to hold its meeting on 6 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian parliament’s upper chamber.

The session will open at 13:00 local time.

The agenda includes draft laws: “On amending laws on the Investigative Committee”, “On suspending the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe”, “On ratifying the agreement on cooperation in security and countering terrorism between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Arab Emirates”, "On ratifying the memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses”, “On ratifying the protocol on amendments to the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the construction of the nuclear power plant in the Republic of Belarus of 15 March 2011”, “On ratifying the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments”, “On ratifying the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and property”, “On ratifying of the protocol on amendments to the agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on the procedure for mutual enforcement of court orders in cases of alimony recovery of 3 March 2015”, “On ratifying the agreement on the rules of issue, circulation and redemption of warehouse certificates for agricultural products within the Eurasian Economic Union”.
